Evening dress taffetà
Homage to the Belle Époque. Unique piece from the _Journey through the History of Fashion_ collection.
Immersing ourselves in one of the most enlightened eras of fashion and style, the inspiration came from the iconic femininity typical of the Belle Epoque, ethereal and floating in its mermaid dresses and celebrated in the masterful portraits of the painter Boldini. Thus, a long dress with a glamorous and sophisticated tone in style and fabrics took shape, with a finely hand-embroidered sequined bodice and vaporous two-tone flounces in taffeta and damask satin. The brilliant alternation of bright black and emerald green colors gives this dress a striking yet refined look.
Materials: taffeta, satin, sequins

Satin tailcoat jacket
The 1800s, Lord Brummel and his Dandy. Unique piece from the _Journey through the History of Fashion_ collection.
In homage to the iconic character of Lord Brummel, who with his Dandy was the first in the history of fashion to determine the advent of a new masculine elegance, sophisticated and sober at the same time, we have created a tailcoat-style jacket in silk satin, with a refined cut and a bright color contrast between the dominant black and the iridescent pink of the finishes. In a unique pairing of styles, the jacket is presented over oversized denim dungarees reconstructed using a stock of boiler suits from the early 1970s.
Materials: crepe, cotton, satin

Evening dress silk lamé
The iconic Madame de Pompadour in Versailles of the 18th Century. Unique piece from the _Journey through the History of Fashion_ collection.
As a tribute to the woman who, far from being a simple courtesan, was the most powerful woman of the time, far-sighted magnate, artist and true fashion influencer ante litteram, we have reinterpreted the iconic Pompadour Style with an outfit consisting of a dress and overcoat in precise style of the time, but with a contemporary femininity achieved by transforming the dress into a charming candy pink minidress. The quality of the fabrics used, from taffeta to finely worked silk lamé coming from a rare Arab ceremonial dress, gives the suit the typical sumptuousness of the fashion of the time, combined with a modern sobriety that makes it perfectly adaptable even in a casual way.

Queen also of style: tribute to Marie Antoinette in France on the threshold of the revolution. Unique piece from the _Journey through the History of Fashion_ collection.
In interpreting a controversial historical figure like Queen Marie Antoinette, we chose to refer to the turning point in her style that caused the most scandal and sensation in France on the threshold of the Revolution: the one in which the queen literally took off the pompous clothes still in vogue at the Court of France, to move towards greater sobriety and freshness in clothing. A turning point made famous by the painting by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun which portrays her in a vaporous dressing gown, which later became an iconic garment for the fashion of the time with the nickname of Chemise à la Reine. Rethinking this garment in a contemporary key, we have therefore transformed the historic dress into a vaporous duster coat in voile, tulle and silk satin, embellished with hand-embroidered inserts and jeweled buttons. A garment that stands out for its versatility and which can be perfectly combined with an evening or formal dress, or used as a fresh overcoat, ideal for both casual and elegant outfits.

Pink damask minidress
The reconquest of femininity in the earlier 1600s. Unique piece from the _Journey through the History of Fashion_ collection.
On a journey into the era that first defined the very concept of fashion, in particular as a means for a shameless reconquest of sensuality and a femininity proudly rediscovered under the thick covers of the clothes of previous centuries, we have collected the most significant fashion trends of the time - such as the taste for lingerie, generous necklines, short bustiers, lace and petticoats - to concentrate them in a single garment: an enchanting pastel pink damask minidress, composed of a soft bell-shaped skirt with petticoat in tulle and a stretched canvas bustier. The material used, a fine damask fabric with lurex embroidery, completes the reference to a baroque style made sober in its shape but not in its scenographic effect.

Brocade gothic dress
THE GOTHIC STYLE IN FASHION. Unique piece from the _Journey through the History of Fashion_ collection.
To retrace the history of the Gothic style in fashion, from its origins in the Middle Ages, through the Renaissance from which it takes its name, up to its various reinterpretations nowadays, we have created a dress in fine black damask brocade, which respects the traditional canons of elongated shapes, full-bodied fabric and rigorous cuts, but with a touch of frivolity that escapes the dark canonical rigidity, thanks to the very short cut of the skirt and the long train.

We create the new from the treasures of the past: period and vintage garments and fabrics from different times are the raw material of every creation by Le Toppe. We reinterpret shapes and materials, reinvent styles, to give life to unique garments that look to the contemporary while carrying the value of a story.
The research and recovery of heterogeneous materials for eras and places of origin, the planning and care of design aimed at creating something new from the past, and the manufacturing of each strictly artisanal garment with the mastery of Made in Italy tailoring, are the our "modus operandi".
Values that are dear to us, such as the exclusivity of each creation, the circularity and sustainability of production, are but the desired and direct consequences of the underlying idea on which Le Toppe was born.
* Journey through the History of Fashion * The new collection by Le Toppe is a journey through the history of fashion back in time, through the great eras that have influenced style up to the present day. From the Belle Époque to the Courts of Versailles, from the golden age of Hollywood and the Divas to the Baroque, each item in the collection was designed and created by reinterpreting the trends of the time in a contemporary key. The recovery and restoration of rare and precious pieces from different eras, the high quality of all the materials used and the high Made in Italy tailoring, have given life to unique and irreplicable garments, which become synonymous with luxury and prestige although respecting the ethical values of sustainable fashion.
